Three international high schools affiliated with the Global Scholars Diploma Program of the World Affairs Council of Austin are adopting AVC Armenian History courses in Fall 2021. Those are SEK International High School, Guatemala, Del Valle High School, Texas, USA and Affiliated High School of Chung-Hsing University, Taichung, Taiwan. The students are offered a subset of AVC's Armenian history courses to help them learn from a truly international perspective about Armenia. The SEK International school in Guatemala is also starting a chess course with AVC.

Michael Cunningham, Director of the Global Scholars Diploma Program and AVC alumni, initiated the partnership with the AGBU AVC to bring Armenian History courses to a number of leading high schools around the globe. "AGBU AVC is leading the way in a 21st-century approach to education. I loved their concept so much that I took the classes and received a diploma in Armenian history. Learning about my relatives got me interested in spreading this opportunity to other schools all around the world," he says.

On August 2, 2021, AVC Founding President Dr. Yervant Zorian and the AVC team participated in the online launch of the joint program. AVC also held online orientation sessions for 9th and 12th-grade students.

"I like how the course has a visual way of learning. That is my way of learning. I appreciate it. Seeing pictures and a video gives me a better understanding of the lesson", said Julio Vergara from the Del Valle High School.

Several additional high schools are already lined up to start the program in January 2022.
