01/27/2015
On January 27, 2015, AVC Founder and President Dr. Yervant Zorian delivered a master class in Ayb High School, a private school in Yerevan that blends the best traditions of Armenian schooling with contemporary learning methodologies and technologies. Around 100 students participated in the event, during which Dr. Zorian presented AVC programs and products, with a particular emphasis on the e-Book series.
Entitled “Technology and Education,” the event aimed at revealing AVC’s initiatives that facilitated Armenian education over the world. The event began with the opening speech of Aram Pakhchanian, the Director of Ayb School. He outlined Dr. Yervant Zorian’s biography, activities, and investment in AVC’s foundation and described AVC’s mission and vision to the audience.
Dr. Yervant Zorian in turn presented the aims and milestones of AVC. The Ayb students learned of the wide range of subjects offered by AVC, the innovative methods of teaching and the virtual communication platform AVC had been building. Dr. Zorian presented the multimedia e-Book publication project as a contemporary way of disseminating knowledge about Armenia. “The Multimedia e-Book Series provides us with a fine possibility to enrich knowledge in Armenian Studies,” Dr. Zorian stated.
A lively Q&A session followed, during which Ayb students asked questions, shared their impressions, and offered recommendations. Some students expressed interest in volunteering for AVC to support its outreach efforts.
The AVC and Ayb High School meeting ended on a warm and promising note, thus creating a basis for building a new partnership.
