AGBU Armenian Virtual College presented at the Armenian Summit of Minds

On June 8, AVC participated in the Armenian Summit of Minds held in Dilijan under the patronage of his excellency President Armen Sarkissian. Senior politicians and businessmen, heads of IT companies and prominent scientists from around the globe gathered at the event to brainstorm on a wide range of global issues and discuss business and investment ideas. For many participants, the Summit was a unique opportunity to experience the combination of ancient tradition and 21st century innovation that Armenia has to offer.
AVC Founding President Yervant Zorian moderated the workshop discussion on hi-tech and governance and presented the outcome at the closing plenary session of the Summit.
AVC, together with AGBU Armenia, were among the four institutions that were invited to showcase their projects and offerings during the Summit of Minds. AVC’s banner, flyers and videos were put on display in the exhibition space.
Dr. Zorian and the team presented AVC’s e-learning platform and multimedia e-books to President Armen Sarkissian, Minister of Education Arayik Harutunyan and Minister of High-Tech Industry Hakob Arshakyan. AGBU President Berge Setrakian and chairman of the AGBU Board of Trustees Vatche Manoukian also visited the AVC booth at the Summit.
The foreign guests were particularly interested in AVC’s e-books series about Armenia that could help them make most of their time in the country, and participants from the Diaspora inquired about the online learning opportunities at AVC.
